Anyway... I love it here, my small house, my university (that is seriously amazing!) and my neighbour who is so good looking you can't even imagine ;)

Cleaning my beauty cabinet

Yesterday I had this crazy idea of cleaning my beauty cabinet
Here are a few advices to organize it:

1. Throw away all expired products
2. Organize by use and "subject" (hair products with hair products, brushes with brushes and so on)
3. Put all you "basics" (the products you use daily) all together so it will be easier (and quicker) to get ready when you are in a hurry
4. Make sure you see everything, the more you see your products the more you will use them (this works for clothes as well)
5. Buy/ DIY containers (I med my bobby pins container out of a blush package)

Hope these help you stay organized

Jasmine and apple cake

I made this cake to enjoy while I was studying (exams!ahaha) hope you like it.
It is very simple, just use jasmin tea instead of milk in your apple cake and remember to keep some of the leaves/flowers to decorate the cake :)

Stay Strong

Today I decided to share with you a very personal situation. I (as you know) have just finished high school and I am preparing for my final exams. Therefore I have been a lot stressed lately. What is more, things aren't going so well for me, and what happened yesterday really kicked me off.
I have applied to some universities in Paris, to study history of art, my great passion,( with fashion of course) but yesterday I discovered I haven't been accepted not even to one university I have applied to. My grades are very high and that is the reason I was SO sure they would have accepted me.
But I was wrong. And it felt terrible.
I have passed the last months wondering about my future life in Paris, the friends, the city, living alone for the first time in my life, being free, assuming my own responsibilities an of course studying history of art.
I cried hard, a lot, but, eventually I came up with a nice quote on my life:

"Probably she [life] is just testing you, to see how you react, to strengthen you sometimes it's necessary to define who you are and to remember you where you are going, sometimes it's the chance to change your way. Sometimes it just happens, but it's good to know that after all this, you are still able to get up and walk away on your own feet. Sometimes you may need a hand to go through it and get up (and chances are he/she is someone completely unexpected) but it's good to know that, eventually, you WILL get up, no matter what. Hard times are there to remember you to make the best out of every single moment and to enjoy the good ones when you can."

So, after being miserable and desperate for an hour or two, I wrote a message to my ex, just to know what he was doing and if we could meet (we recently started talking to each other again after breaking up last year and after 2 years of relationship) but (of course) he couldn't. He gave me a great moral support, which I totally didn't expect. It was so nice to feel his love (friend-love) after all this time and to know he still cares about me.

I hope things for my future will get back in place (and if I close my eyes very hard, cross my fingers and make a wish this place could still be Paris)

To close(t) or not

Today I'll just want to show you guys a bit of inspiration for my new home (I know I can't stop talking about it, but time is flying away!) This time is all about the closet :)
For space problems, I decided to go for an open closet, I hope to keep it as stylish and clean as these girls (/boys) do, I think that having to see everything will help me so much:

 1. Wearing ALL of my clothes (I will give a try to one of those decluttering tricks, the one you have to turn the hangers maybe).

2. Keeping my tiny room tidy, I hope the idea of having to see all the MESS will convince me to keep everything clean and tidy.

3. I kind of like the way an open closet looks especially if well organized (Hello colors!!)

4. This will save me a lot of space and the room will look so much brighter and fresh :)

5. I will also save money ( that I will use for other important things-->a nice sofa or clothes) since the open closet cost more or less 10€

PS: I loove the first one!!

The perfect green tea

Hi guys!

Making green tea in the right way is not that easy! Today I made the Fortnum&Mason Jasmine green tea. To prepare it properly you have to:

1. Boil fresh mineral water until it reaches 80°C (for green tea make sure the water is between 70-80°C or it will ruin the delicate leaves!)

2. I prefer using a Babington crystal tea pot but you can use any, just remember : one teaspoon for each person and one for the pot

3. Since green tea is so delicate 3 to 4 minutes will be enough (and remember, no milk required!)

4. Enjoy :)

Mineral Foundation (review)

Hi everyone!

Since I had some skin problems due to allergy for dairy, I decided to change foundation and after long researches I decided to give a try to the Bare Minerals loose powder foundation (Original).

First thing first lets talk about the mineral foundation:

Mineral foundation

Minerals such as iron oxides, talc, zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide are micronized, or ground and milled, into tiny particles to create makeup.

Different products micronize to different levels to achieve different coverage. Mineral products are usually free of preservatives and fragrances ( that are some of the main causes for irritation).
Mineral makeup got its commercial start in the 1970s, with some of the really early all-natural makeup products, but it has a very ancient history (just think of Cleopatra's kohl-rimmed eyes)
In the 70's Diane Ranger first founded Bare Escentuals and later started Colorescience Pro, another mineral line. She developed her first mineral cosmetics because she felt there was a need and market for natural ingredients and a natural look and feel.
"In 1976, cosmetics firms were required to list ingredients on their products for the first time, and I was shocked at what we were putting on our skin," Ranger, who had grown up wearing heavy traditional makeup, says. "Then I went through my 'hippie girl' phase and discarded makeup along with my bra."
The growing desire for natural cosmetics coincided with the increasing number of women who identified themselves as having sensitive skin. "Add in marketing and media awareness, and an aging baby boomer," Ranger says. "All these matter." (
The pros and the cons

One popular claim is that it can clear up acne. The anti-irritating ingredients like zinc can be soothing to inflammation, but it's not likely a cure-all. The lack of the filler ingredients found in conventional makeup, however, can lead to less pore clogging. That can mean fewer breakouts.

Another claim is that mineral makeup acts as a sunscreen to protect skin from sun damage. The protective claims for zinc oxide (the white stuff your local lifeguard paints on his nose) and titanium dioxide, usually found in powder blends, do have some research behind them. The FDA has approved zinc oxide as a skin protectant and titanium dioxide as a sunscreen. But -- and this is a big but -- no mineral makeup is going to give you enough SPF to protect you against damaging ultraviolet rays.

Mineral makeup might not last as long on your face or be as durable as conventional makeup because it doesn't contain standard cosmetic ingredients such as binders, waterproof polymers, and other "stick-to-your-skin" agents.

True mineral makeup is limited in its natural range of shades, so it may be difficult to find a perfect skin tone match.

My opinion

So, after these researches, I decided to give it a try. Now it has been almost a month that I've been wearing everyday the BareMinerals original foundation, and I am quite satisfied. It is true that the foundation hasn't cured my skin, but, preventing pore clogging it surely has helped a lot my skin.
I preferred the Original formula instead of the Matte because I have combination skin and I didn't need all that effect on my cheeks.
Hope this quick review will help you to choose the best foundation for your skin :)

PS: I will soon post a nice DIY mineral foundation!

Bikini Body

Hi guys,
today I want to talk about how to reach a "bikini body", I am officially starting today (with a nice run) and will go on until the end of June. I already know I will be very stressed, since I have my final exams starting on the 17th of June. What I've learned is that if I get to eat healthy and to workout as much as I can, everything will go on smoothly.
I've downloaded a couple of apps on my phone (NTC, Nike+ and Fitbit) to get me started.
Hope to see some results and to respect the "plan" I made.
