The perfect green tea

Hi guys!

Making green tea in the right way is not that easy! Today I made the Fortnum&Mason Jasmine green tea. To prepare it properly you have to:

1. Boil fresh mineral water until it reaches 80°C (for green tea make sure the water is between 70-80°C or it will ruin the delicate leaves!)

2. I prefer using a Babington crystal tea pot but you can use any, just remember : one teaspoon for each person and one for the pot

3. Since green tea is so delicate 3 to 4 minutes will be enough (and remember, no milk required!)

4. Enjoy :)

Mineral Foundation (review)

Hi everyone!

Since I had some skin problems due to allergy for dairy, I decided to change foundation and after long researches I decided to give a try to the Bare Minerals loose powder foundation (Original).

First thing first lets talk about the mineral foundation:

Mineral foundation

Minerals such as iron oxides, talc, zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide are micronized, or ground and milled, into tiny particles to create makeup.

Different products micronize to different levels to achieve different coverage. Mineral products are usually free of preservatives and fragrances ( that are some of the main causes for irritation).
Mineral makeup got its commercial start in the 1970s, with some of the really early all-natural makeup products, but it has a very ancient history (just think of Cleopatra's kohl-rimmed eyes)
In the 70's Diane Ranger first founded Bare Escentuals and later started Colorescience Pro, another mineral line. She developed her first mineral cosmetics because she felt there was a need and market for natural ingredients and a natural look and feel.
"In 1976, cosmetics firms were required to list ingredients on their products for the first time, and I was shocked at what we were putting on our skin," Ranger, who had grown up wearing heavy traditional makeup, says. "Then I went through my 'hippie girl' phase and discarded makeup along with my bra."
The growing desire for natural cosmetics coincided with the increasing number of women who identified themselves as having sensitive skin. "Add in marketing and media awareness, and an aging baby boomer," Ranger says. "All these matter." (
The pros and the cons

One popular claim is that it can clear up acne. The anti-irritating ingredients like zinc can be soothing to inflammation, but it's not likely a cure-all. The lack of the filler ingredients found in conventional makeup, however, can lead to less pore clogging. That can mean fewer breakouts.

Another claim is that mineral makeup acts as a sunscreen to protect skin from sun damage. The protective claims for zinc oxide (the white stuff your local lifeguard paints on his nose) and titanium dioxide, usually found in powder blends, do have some research behind them. The FDA has approved zinc oxide as a skin protectant and titanium dioxide as a sunscreen. But -- and this is a big but -- no mineral makeup is going to give you enough SPF to protect you against damaging ultraviolet rays.

Mineral makeup might not last as long on your face or be as durable as conventional makeup because it doesn't contain standard cosmetic ingredients such as binders, waterproof polymers, and other "stick-to-your-skin" agents.

True mineral makeup is limited in its natural range of shades, so it may be difficult to find a perfect skin tone match.

My opinion

So, after these researches, I decided to give it a try. Now it has been almost a month that I've been wearing everyday the BareMinerals original foundation, and I am quite satisfied. It is true that the foundation hasn't cured my skin, but, preventing pore clogging it surely has helped a lot my skin.
I preferred the Original formula instead of the Matte because I have combination skin and I didn't need all that effect on my cheeks.
Hope this quick review will help you to choose the best foundation for your skin :)

PS: I will soon post a nice DIY mineral foundation!

Bikini Body

Hi guys,
today I want to talk about how to reach a "bikini body", I am officially starting today (with a nice run) and will go on until the end of June. I already know I will be very stressed, since I have my final exams starting on the 17th of June. What I've learned is that if I get to eat healthy and to workout as much as I can, everything will go on smoothly.
I've downloaded a couple of apps on my phone (NTC, Nike+ and Fitbit) to get me started.
Hope to see some results and to respect the "plan" I made.

Home inspiration

Hi everyone, as often I'm really busy, with all the exams and the tests. Also I'm searching inspirations for my new home in Paris!
For the moment we are changing the kitchen, the toilet, the closet (an open one) and dividing the open space into a living room and a bedroom by adding a library :)
PS: I also really like the frames over the bed

I really like the new Zara collection, it looks really similar to the Isabel Marant one.

Home sweet home

Hey guys!
Since this september I will be moving to Paris, I am now searching for some home inspiration for my new home! It is a veeeery small/ tiny one, just around 35mq but I am so glad about it and I really want to make it my own space. The color I chose for the entire flat is wine red/ Bordeaux/ Marsala (yess color of the year!) with some hints of burgundy and magenta ( and pink of course, never forget it). For the decors I'd like to go a bit decadent and ethnical :)
Hope you like this few ideas
